Configure notifications
Choose in-app and Slack notifications for new runs, comments, service messages, and feedback, including per-instrument subscriptions and personal Slack direct messages.
Data Hub can notify you in the app and in Slack when new runs arrive, when someone comments on a run you care about, when a script sends you a message, and when feedback you sent is closed. Open Settings → Notifications while signed in. Everything on that page is a personal choice that affects only you.
Connections that the whole workspace shares, such as the Slack channel for new runs and the Slack app behind direct messages, are under Settings → Integrations and only admins can change them. See Set up integrations.
In-app and Slack preferences are independent: you can turn on either channel for a type without turning on the other.
In-app preferences

| Mute all instrument notifications | Suppresses new-run notifications for every instrument. Per-instrument choices are preserved and resume when you unmute. |
| Comments on runs you ran | Notify when someone comments on a run you are attributed to. |
| Replies to your comments | Notify when someone comments on a run you previously commented on. |
| Service notifications | Show messages that integrations and scripts send you through the API. |
| Updates on your feedback | Notify when a feedback report you sent is resolved or declined. |
| New feedback | Admins only. Notify when someone sends feedback about Data Hub. |
Per-instrument subscriptions
Under Per-instrument, toggle the instruments you want new-run notifications for. Rows are disabled while Mute all is on. You can also subscribe from the notifications switch on an instrument’s page, or from the instruments table’s notifications column when that column is shown.
The notification bell
The bell icon in the app lists recent notifications:
- New runs are grouped by day and instrument, and each group expands to show its runs.
- Clicking a comment notification opens the run and scrolls to that comment.
- Messages sent by a script through an API token show the token’s name with a key icon.
Slack direct messages
Connect your Slack account on the same settings page to receive matching events as personal direct messages. After connecting, choose which types also go to Slack:
- New instrument runs (respects your instrument subscriptions and mute)
- Comments on runs you ran
- Replies to your comments
- Service notifications
- Updates on your feedback
- New feedback (admins only)
Disconnect or reconnect from the same card. You have to connect with your organization’s Slack workspace; Data Hub rejects any other workspace.

Workspace Slack channel
The shared Slack channel that gets a message whenever a new run is created is set by admins under Settings → Integrations. See Slack channel for new runs.
